Mowed my lawns for the first time this year that is. Bloomin' can't stand doing it and the thing is it's a once a week job (If I'm lucky) for the next six or seven months. :(

You coppers get too much if you can afford a gardener and posh bikes.

Enjoy it while you can - Mr Cameron and his wittering tit Osbourne will soon have half of you on the dole in pursuit of their civil service efficiency savings. Anyone in the private sector knows that one of the biggest and simpler cost savings is salaries. So, tax business and probably retain most jobs at the loss of some %age margin points or give in to 68 or so "voices" that only have their own interests at heart (and thats totally understandable not a critiscism).

Frank, get a "John Deere" (supposed to be the best), ride on mower for when you're not feeling up to it. Alternetively, what about a Bianchi with "Edward Scissorhands" type upgrades for those shorter than normal rides

I did my garden this week as well, the first cut always seems longer and harder

Make your own from Lux soap flakes, some fairy liquid and petrol. Put it in a binbag, leave no air gaps and ignite uisng a simple electrical open circuit to produce a spark inside the bag and hey presto :D

A petrol and sugar mix works well as well. But I hate all the main political parties equally so don't let the Tories have it all, remember who's mess their going to have to clear up...

Must say a couple of those replies made me sound like some kind of lord of the manor. Truth is I live in a humble semi with a small lawn on the front and ten acres on the back.:wink:
