just wondering what people think of the pitch pro 2010 As you dont see many about and even fewer reviews.
Also what needs upgrading on the Pitch if anything.

2010 bike is largely the same as 2009 so not really much for anyone to say. Still superb I guess.
As for upgrades - that is very much a personal thing. Best bet is to live with it and see.You only need two tools: WD40 and Duck Tape.
If it doesn't move and should, use the WD40.
If it shouldn't move and does, use the tape.0 -
It has some nice changes from last year, Elixir brakes and the changes to the chainrings (double and bash, with chain guide).
If it suits your type of riding, it's a bargain.0 -
There you go then. Sounds better than last year. You only need two tools: WD40 and Duck Tape.

Just not as good a bargin as when it was £999 this time last year. Everyone went mad for them. Thats prob why you haven't seen many 2010 models.0

I wouldn't worry about that! Do a search for a Pitch on here and im sure there are loads and loads of threads asking about them. Loads of people wanted one/needed one/thought they needed one - me included. AFAIK the 2010 is a double and bash? whereas the 09 was a triple ring setup? Think there might be some stronger wheels on 2010 model also, which seems to point the bike in more of a mini-dh style direction.(although this may be the wrong term to use).0 -
Yea the chainring is double with bash guard and the wheels are alex rims double wall so plenty of strength there but i am looking in getting some DTSwiss EX1750 if there the right sort or some hope pro2 on god knows what rim. Trying to get some braided hoses but with them being Elixir levers and juicy calipers im having trouble sorting some out.0

I've got a 2008 Pitch Pro and only things I've changed is grips, saddle and changed to a double with bash. I can't fault anything really- might have a play with a shorter stem..0

Sexy DMR looking at ur post very nice. BTW i have some tyres if you still need some Maxxis high rollers duel ply and a front super tacky.0 -
Ive got a 2009 pitch comp, not a great comparison but ive upgraded loads of mine. Single ring up front, new wheelset, better cranks etc and its transformed the bike from a AM ride to a light DH bike. Managed fort bill no problem a few times last summer and going to manage even more this year. Great bike for upgrading. Check it in my sig"Its all fun and games till someone gets hurt, then its hilarious"

I've got a 2009 Pitch Pro and love it. (see sig) I've changed the wheels 721 on pro2's and the cranks (SLX double) shorter stem and some wider bars and an i900 seatpost. As far as I can see the 2010 version carries many of these changes the wheels are stronger and no longer use the poor shimano rear hub and the rims are wider and stronger ( I mullered mine in Morzine hence the changeover.) Stem and bars are a personal choice so i'd ride it and see what it feels like.http://www.pinkbike.com/photo/1994177/

Thanks- sorted for tyres now- but thanks for the offer! Hoping to change the forks soon, they're fairly roo'barb!
I may give in and make it a 8 or 9 spd yet too- its bloody hard work round here
Back OT- I'm sure you'll love the Pitch as is- just change bits that you feel will make in more enjoyable not because its what everyone else says! Unless you like shiney bits, then go nuts!0 -
Put a 9 speed road cassett on smaller ratio than a 9 speed 11-32 and still able to cope with the jumps ull have to get a front chain device to hold it all in place and the obvious gear bits0
