im waiting for the delivery of a couple of parcels. its very exciting but also time consuming.

parcels are

1x joplin
1x gps phone (which looks fooking webbo to the extreme but for 20 quid it'll serve as a good gps and a decent emergency fone for when out and about in the hills)

    Mmmmmmm...... Joplin.

I would have had one on the GT had it not been for the ridiculously short seattube length. I have to run a 287mm Thomson to get it low, I don't want to start chopping down seatposts....

Pics up when fitted fella

From the tech spec on your webbo phone:

Emergency call: Send a message with the current time, the current position and a preset text to a predefined phone number by simply pressing and holding one bottom. The GPS receiver needs to be turned on in order to provide the current position.

Do you get to pick who's bottom??

You'll have to let us know how good/bad the webbo gps phone is.

Besides being too damn expensive to break and pretty susceptible to water, the GPS on the iPhone isn't the best,
so I could do with something cheapo to sling in the Camelback to get me out of the mire.

this was my main logic in getting it.

frst off, gps on anything other than a dedicated gps by a proper manufacturer is rarely ideal. second off, most decent phones are useless out doors.

so, this is ideal for slinging in the top of my daysack and i wont be fussed when it gets scratched and knocked about. primarily i was looking for a new gps so to find a brand new one for 20 quid is the cheapest i could and a bargain, the fact i dont need to carry a phone and a gps is a bonus too.

its a win win i reckon.
