Just picked up this bike a few days ago from another forumite.

It is a little big for me but i have sourced a shorter stem and put the seat as far forward as it will go and i have pretty much got the same cockpit measurements as my old roady.

Only thing is left crank fell off 1st ride, doesnt look like it was put on right, luckily was on the way to the LBS for a stem. For the price i paid i am happy , push comes to shove i can sell it on for what i paid for it.I used to ride a 54cm ,this is a 56cm.

As you can see i have transferred my bits to make it into my commuter , would flipping the seat post around make any difference?

How far back the seat should be is kinda related to how long your legs are.
You could flip the seatpost around the other way, but it'll probably make it rubbish to pedal.

If you want it to feel a bit shorter, try putting a higher rise stem on, perhaps?

  • Hey, I think that might be the bike that a forumite sent me a PM about. I didn't get the message until a week or so after it was sent and my late reply went without response.

Looks tasty. Wish I'd followed it up now.

Gimme a shout if you do need to move it on.
