Today, is currently sunny! 8)

Not sure if it will last, but am enjoying it whilst it's here. That said, I did revert back to the overshoes this morning as it's still a tad cold first thing.

Apart from that, another boring day in the office for me today. Got a few bits and bobs to sort out for HONC this evening though.

What's the rest of you lot up to then?

Day off for me today. Gonna go out for a ride once my back loosens up a bit. I was talking to my mate last night about punctures. I've been about a year now without a single puncture (still riding with tubes) and averaged about 50-60 miles a week. Lucky me! Although now i have blatantly jinxed it!

Rear brake almost seized this morning then got back (slowly) having cut the ride in half (6 miles instead of 12.5) to find the missus bike has a flat - and I can't find what caused it! Found the hole in the tube but not the thing that caused it - arrrgghhh!!!

Got a bike bloke coming along at 9.30 to look at my bike ready then fit some new shiny bits. Hopefully he can sort the b4stard brake too!

Myself and my siblings used to throw bread and chips on the roof of my nans caravan at the holiday park in Barmouth when we was nippers....

I'd imagine the noise at 4.30am when the skwarky fu ckers(Seagulls not my Grandparents) woke up with a hunger on was quite alarming

Erm...alegedely, if you were to put an asprin or alkaseltza tablet in the piece of bread or chip, it would stop the seagulls from squawking. Alegedly of course...

    Morning all,

Had a 2nd interview yesterday afternoon, was in there for 3 hours, hoping that’s a good sign as we were really going into detail about the ins and outs of the role. (Either that or the bugger was just trying to get some free advice on their processes) Apparently the job is between me and an internal candidate, but that person is based in France so would have to relocate. If I get the job I’ve been advised to take French lessons to make work easier.

Took my brother to Swinley on Monday, he’s not been before. After an hour and a half he pleaded for home, apparently I broke him. Now I’m in no way “fit”, but it was amusing to get 1 over the older brother.

    Is it 5 yet?

ok i'm back. i found a nice dark quiet corner of my bed and went back to sleep. tomorrow if they start getting all squawky i'm gonna get all trigger happy and then set some traps like putting a hook on some fishing with some bread on it and tie the other end to the business side of the lawnmower

on a lighter note i'm making pancakes for brekky and its now halfway to the weekend :D

Hah, I haven't done a 'full' week for ages. Had the week before last off, then last week was 4 days because of Good Friday, this week was 4 days because of the Monday bank holiday, next week I'm off to Wales on Friday, so I've got Thursday and Friday off, don't get back til Tuesday, so that's 2 3 day weeks in a row. And then the week after that I get paid! I'm not quite sure what for :?

  • It's quite a good day today.

Just picked up a new rear wheel for my commuter bike.

Someone had abandoned it next to a lamp post in brighton.

    You don't need labour!

The only thing that's tricky would be the wheel rebuild.

I DO need labour! Firstly I don't have many tools, secondly bike mechanics time is much cheaper than mine, thirdly the bloke is a proper qualified bike mechanic - he'll be able to do stuff much quicker than me.

I can bleed brakes, replace pads, repair tyres, screw bits on, take them off, crash, wear the bike out and that's about it.

screw bits on, take them off,

That's the BB, chainset, cassette and brakes covered.

And WAIH: Why the Tories?
