Hi I need a new headset but I dont know what type I need to get.I have looked at the FAQs but it did not help.can anyone help

You need a threadless headset by the looks of things.

BTW, your pic doesn't work

has it got cups? then it is an zero stack/internal one. as per the FAQ.


PS a photo of the head tube and what you have would be better than a small picture of the whole frame.

ok I put that in a few shop searchs and cant find anyheadset that say TH NO.11Q 1-1/8" threadless alloy, semi-cartridge, semi-integrated

then it is an internal/zerostack headset.

buy one. remove the old cups and fit the new headset with a headset press.

Have no experiance with them though so have no idea what they are like (only going by description that they are internal, they might not be, sorry for not being much help :? )

I don't think there is one but since there is no description I wouldn't trust it although it does say ZS in the name so maybe...

Obviously bearings and things are better in the more expensive ones

They will not work if he needs an Zero Stack standard - they are integrated.

I thought they were the same since the Hope says integrated/zero stack in the description :oops:

Hope are bad at describing these things (and CRC not much better) - that is an integrated headset with a bearing retainer.

I think I will just stay away from headsets and let you deal with it
