Oil in negative air chamber

Hi, posted a topic before about rebound adjuster not working. I also mentioned that the travel was shorter than it should. After reading Sonics guide to setting up dual air forks, he mentioned that too much air in the -ve air chamber can suck the fork down ie loss of travel.
I therefore let some air out of the -ve air chamber, when i did some oil leaked however the travel went back to how it should be. Is this normal?

if the valve is pointing downwards and you release air, then oil will come out too.
If it was only a small amount then I wouldn't worry about it.
You should really turn the fork/bike so it is such that the valve is pointing upwards and give it a few mins for the oil to run away before releasing air.Canyon Spectral AL 9.0 EX
