Looking for some for the commute and night rides as it is still bloody cold out there in the mornings/evenings. Don't want to spend a lot of money though (sub £30). Am happy with full length or 3/4.

Any recommendations?

Shimano do some wind proof tights. I've got some & they are fine. Chain reaction had them on sale.

I just got some DHB Merstons (unpadde) from Wiggle delivered for £30.50 or something like that in one of their recent sales - they seem ok - but haven't ridden in them yet.

Merstons are probably your best bet at that price, although they did disappoint me in how they perform - pad, seams, windproofing. For £35 or so I guess they are good value though. They werent quite as warm as I wanted during the really cold winter weather but I wore them the other day for a change and they were fine. I think you need to pay a lot more though to get a real jump in performance....

What are the DHB tights like for sizing? I wear a medium in Endura shorts but have to have a large for length in their tights

I'm 5 ft 11 and about 70kgs and find a medium just a bit loose but wearable. Not as slim fitting as the Lusso stuff I own (which fits me better than DHB). Don't know if that helps at all.

I've been using Merston's all winter and they've done fabulously for the price. Had some long, long days in them with no discomfort.

I'm 6'1", wear size L, the fit is good but the legs are about an inch too long.
