Hey all!
I would really like your help and recommendations please. What do you all wear on your top half for the spring and summer months of the year?
Im thinking of a long sleeved zip up top, possibly a thin jacket for early morning rides before the heat gets up!
Any ideas/recommendations please.
Thanks so much

A better option in better weather (if there ever is...) would be armwarmers and a gilet that you can then roll up and carry in your jersey back pocket. A tidy gilet will keep the chill out and a light shower off as well as a full jacket and be more adaptable.
There's a current thread on here regarding gilet's. I recommend the Solo CC clothing model.0 -
This time last year I was in SS top and arm warmers. Now I'm wearing a Gore windstopper jacket that can be converted to a gillet and a SS top that annoyingly has a thread that pokes into my arm, can't really complain as the top was freebie.I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.0

Base layer (long sleeve at the moment still) + short sleeve jersey + gilet (Mavic Echelon) + arm warmers works for me.More problems but still living....0

+1 for the gilet - and a L/S baselayer (Nike Pro lightweight thing). That's for temps above about 4C - and shorts (maybe with leg warmers if it's near 4C). I generate quite a bit of heat though. But I think the gilet is defintely the way to go.ROAD < Scott Foil HMX Di2, Volagi Liscio Di2, Jamis Renegade Elite Di2, Cube Reaction Race > ROUGH0

Very much in love with my new Campag LS.
Add a gilet and you're set for the current weather.Facts are meaningless, you can use facts to prove anything that's remotely true! - Homer0 -
Merino LS base and an Endura Rebound jacket at the mo..... cheap and windproof but nice and breathable too0

Baselayer+s/s jersey+gilet+arm warmers when I can get away with it.
I was in a baselayer and l/s Mavic Col jersey yesterday which was perfect for the chilly breezes.0 -
just back from 20 miles in my L/S sportwool jersey from Shutt. Its the first time I have used it without a jacket and it was great today - being its been a bit sunny and a good bit warmer.
I packed a gilet as it was really windy but didnt actually need it. I used a uber thin Craft sleeveless summer baselayer under it but really dont think I needed to bother. I'd recommend a wool mix jersey and either short sleeve plus armwarmers or long sleeve.Your Past is Not Your Potential...0
