Belfast Cycle City: Visions for the Future' Conference
June 1st, 5:45pm for 6.15 start
The Black Box, Cathedral Quarter
Cost: Free
The evening will feature exciting guest speakers discussing the future for cycling in Belfast:
Phillip Darton - CEO of Cycling England
Ciaran Fallon - Dublin City Cycling Officer
Steven Patterson - Director of Sustrans Ireland
Andrew McMurray - Belfast Friends of the Earth Co-ordinator
With an opening address by a senior Department of Regional Development official.
The speakers will present the successes London and Dublin have had with
cycling and discuss how these can apply to Belfast.
Following the talks there will be an open floor Q&A session with the
speakers and department official.
We need you to come out and show the Department that the people of Belfast are
serious about improving cycling in the city. Come out, listen to some
inspiring talks and participate in the cycling discussion. There will
be a free pizza reception beforehand.
When/Where:
June 1st, The Black Box, 18-22 Hill Street, Cathedral Quarter
Pizza reception at 5:45, opening address at 6:15, wrap up by 8:00pm
Three actions:
(1) Mark it in your diary
(2) Pass this email to all cyclists in your address book
(3) We are looking a volunteer to design an event poster, can you help?
would like thoughts/advice/questions worth asking on this.
there is a project that hasnt been funded yet, an mtb trail dont know whether it be worth mentioning.
