Thinking of dragging my gearing into the 21st centuary and replacing my mid 90's ergo's. Might go 10 or stay 9, dunno yet. Anyway I have lurking some where in my brain the edea that there was a feature that appared on some Campag ergo's in the last year or two that wasn't all that clever. Bearing in mind I'll be looking for discounted old stock is there anything to watch out for? Can't remember what I was recommended to avoid. Escape? QS? It will be something on the lower spec stuff, veloce at the best. Any ideas?
Anyone want to sell me some?

Correc t; avoid anything with 'Escape' written on it - 2007/8 I think.
Veloce levers are just as good as Centaur - e-bay probably your best bet for the eariler versions. The latest version seems to attract good comments, although they are a little trickier to install.

New centaur are nicer than new veloce due to having a carbon lever. Otherwise they are the same but the carbon lever feels and looks nice (and doesn't feel so cold in the winter!)

The latest Ergos have a better shape IMO but the hoods are a little longer so you may feel you need to fit a shorter stem. In terms of older model Ergos, the ones to avoid are the QS Mirage, Veloce and Centaur - Chorus and Record kept the older, more reliable ratchet mechanism from the front mech so are fine.
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..
