Went for my first ride since being taken out by a car nearly 3 weeks ago this morning! Normally i get blanked when i wave or say hi but today i caught up with some chap who was having probs with his gears and had to turn round and go home! stopped and chatted to him for 5 mins. Nice guy. Then on way back from Ashford i caught up with 2 ladies out training and rode with those for a bit. (i must appologise as they were being coached so they prob didnt appreciate me chatting to them while cycling) lol but agian very pleasant. The only bad thing about the ride was it was blinking hard! i didnt have any strength in my legs! and when i reached a hill or should i say a very slight incline i slowed right down to walking pace!
Got home and checked thecomputer and i averaged 17.8mph which i was well pleased with as i was expecting about 10mph! :?

Im now suffering horridle saddle sore! apparantly its all fun

A20 and pleasant in the same sentence, thats different LOL. I associate the A20 with alot of pain normally, and cold, crap weather

It was a little bit windy in Kent today, so it probably did feel tough.

i did 60miles and me bottom knows it! lol

The a20 is abit desertless at the mo! but in the summers its so much better. Normally those gradual hills arent really noticeable but today!!!!! luckily the wind was side on all day! charing hill was pretty easy! but then i was in the lowest gear doing about 8mph or something silly like that. lol Mind you when i say pleasant its mainly refering to the chats i had!

    Charing hill easy!!

Have you ever gone up the Wynd? It's about half way up on the left, little lane. That's fun when it's wet and slippery.

The A20 was indeed windy on Monday - which way were you going? We went out from Ashford to Charring and on to Faversham/Canterbury - wind up our jacksies all the way :)

I don't very often find that section of the A20 'nice' (crap surface and crap drivers/motorbikes usually) but as you say - good chats make all the difference :)
