SRAM Rival Cranksets help!

Fugde are the cheapest for the groupset at £429.

Merlin are at £479 but claim to have the "carbon crank" "as per Force."

Anyone know what that means, can't find a carbon Rival crank!

just confusing. As far as I can tell there is no carbon Rival crankset.

Now, if they want to stick the Force one in there that's great, given that Fudge charge postage and Merlin don't!

Don't they do an Unbranded Carbon one? Only as memory serves... I seem to remember seeing one somewhere. Bit like shimano doing unbranded kit.

If you can afford it, go for Force.

From all the reviews I read last night, its only 100g lighter.

the rival cranks are aluminium. the acrbon may not be force. there is a non series sram crank called the s900(s950 compact) which has carbon arms and aluminium spider which sits between rival and fore in the range. i would say its one of these. given that the rival oct(open core technology= hollow crank arms to save weight and remain stiff) isnt much heavier and said to be a very stiff crank by a rather large powerful reviewer it would be a good choice i think.
