Changing Chainrings

If I change my 53 tooth chainring to a 55 tooth would i have to add any links to the chain?

your chain length should be adjusted for correct alignment of the rear derailleur

if it is already tight then you'll need to add links

if it's currently correct or a bit slack you can probably get away with it as long as you don't use the largest cogs on the cassette

also watch you don't exceed the capacity of the rear derailleur
