Hi guys,
Has anyone dealt with The Bike Outlet in York? Either in the shop or more specifically, the mail order side of things? Any returns or customer service experiences would also be helpful.

Thanks

Haha, you thinking of buying anything in particular
I've had a good few things off them before (not the Pikes though).
Always been helpful and quick with delivery.
Had to deal with their customer service for my first order because they didnt have IOM on their system and needed to check delivery. They were very good.0 -

Yep, all the big parts, only thing I want extra is the white gear outers + kit for my shifters. I'm stretching the funds to get these earlier than expected due to the price, as I dont want to miss out on them, so it may be a few weeks later that the whole bike gets built up.....I cant waitOrange 2010 P7 - Custom Build - My New Bikey Poos

well the outers will be in the post tomorrow morning. If you need cables I think I've got some very good quality pre-stretched Alligator cables I'll chuck in the box for free 'cos I'm such a nice guy.
Oh, if you are still in 2 minds about Bike Outlet, you can get them from Merlin for £386.96 (free delivery).0 -

Decent enough shop... Sometimes slightly slow to post I've found but I really can't complain at the prices they charge. Their stock's pretty erratic but some of the bargains they have from time to time are awesome, my Noir Team bars cost about what you'd normally pay for a good quality alloy bar. And those Hope Hoops...Uncompromising extremist0

Just thought I'd update this for anyone thinking of buying from them!
In a word.....Dont!
The forks took a week to ship, and then when I got them they were in a box for a different fork, with the extras for the other fork, not the fork I was buying, and also they sent me a shop display pair, which were damaged and dirty!
They took them back ok and were polite enough on the phone but I got different stories from different people as to when the new stock was coming in and all the details of where they source the stock was extremely sketchy! so eventually I got a refund.
They also almost never answer the emails, even though they claim within 2 hours for a reply on their webby, so all in all I wouldn't buy from them again, a waste of my time!
However http://www.freeborn.co.uk were mustard, they even beat the already amazing price that bikeoutlet were selling for, delivered next day, fully boxed new retail stock, answered their emails, so, so far I'm impressed with Freeborn.
Hope this helps someone else in the future?Orange 2010 P7 - Custom Build - My New Bikey Poos

When I phoned them up to ask about wheels they gave me tons of really useful advice, did me a great price on the wheels and a skewer and some UST valves.
The delivery was quick and perfect.
However, I could not get the valves to fit (maybe they were the wrong kind, I'm not sure) so I called them up, and they told me to send them back and sent me some different ones in a day or two which worked perfectly.0 -
