My other half is showing an interest in biking, in fact we have booked up for a cycling holiday later this year.
Low daily mileages but she needs something to practice on before then.
Looking towards a lightish, non sus, flat bar, dérailleur triple hybrid/commuter in the 400 - 500 price range.
As there is such a range of bikes out there can any one give me any recommendations from personal experience? Also if you could recommend suppliers LBS is Giant only.
Given it's a bank holiday no real rush - any time within the next five minutes will be fine
Thanks for your time.

Specialized sirrus hybrid seems to tick most of your boxes, lighweight and fast. Start from about £300, can find good deals on ebay also. Use one as back up to my road bike, haven't treated it too well but never had any problems. Can't go far wrong with specialized.Pinno, מלך אידיוט וחרא מכונאי0

Yeah with you on good name. Currently have spesh MTB but front and rear gears are starting to give up after 10 years, hence change of bike.0

Have you checked out the Giant Rapid 4 in your LBS? Looks ideal.Rules are for fools.0
