Hi All, I am new to the world of triathlons and have been using my 4 year old trek 1200 road bike with some tri bars. The time has come that I want to upgrade.
My budget is circa £1000 which I know will only get me an entry level tri bike.
I have come across the Fuji Aloha 1.0 http://www.evanscycles.com/products/fuj ... e-ec022179
This seems very good value for money and well spec'd. Does anyone have any experiences with this model? I can't find many reviews online but the ones I have found are good.
look forward to your responses.
thanks
Shaw

Shaw,
I've been tempted by that one myself! Im also struggling to find reviews. You tried on TT Forum?: "Why don't i remember breaking my face?" :
: Semi Professional Grease Monkey, Full time Tea boy... :0 -
I have tried all the bike and tri forums for info and these are the only reviews I can find. They all say great value for money and is just as good as more expensive bikes. I'm just suprised any of the mag's, or bike forums haven't done a review when it seems this good for a entry level bike.

Just bought the new Fuji Aloha 1.0 2010 from Evans Cycles, absolutely superb bike, looks much better in real life than on the photos. Been out a couple of times now and have to slow down to let the others catch up. Got a sprint tri on Sunday so it will be its first outing. I'm new to triathlon and was riding my old cannondale f2000 in the last races with road tyres, I overtook all the shopping bikes and low end racers but the rest left me for dead. Hopefully this bit of kit puts me back in the running. Got some Shimano A600s so I don't need to buy new shoes as am skint now :?0

Thanks for your reply. Good to hear from someone who is riding one.
I can also remember doing my first duathlon on a kona mtb with slicks. Overtaking the racers is very rewarding.
How do you find the ride of the Fuji? Any bad points?0 -
Ride was great in the sprint tri, very comfortable even though the roads were a bit worse for wear around Woodhall Spa. I overtook many more that I did on the MTB and even took some club riders too, which was very rewarding.
I wish the cycling part had been longer than 24k as it was disappointing to have to get off and run! So still enjoying the new bike ...0 -
Great to hear your riding well and the bike is living up to the expectations.
I am doing my first tri at Windsor this Sunday0
