i have bikes with Look Keo pedals - classic and carbon - a new bike beckons and I have to find pedals
i would welcome advice on either buying the new 2 Max's (are they better than the old Keo's?) or just migrating the Look Keo carbons over?
are the worth the £££?

I have the keo max, first look pedals.I hated them at first as I always used shimano's before.I think they are great now though. Can't judge them against the keo classic or carbon because I have never used them. The keo max I have are fab really light compared to the shimano's.Thats not much help to you I know0

be careful with the look Keo 2Max as there have been known problems. The seals can be too tight so they don't spin properly and don't sit in the correct position to clip your second foot in. have a look on weight weenies website. Look know all about it. I am waiting to hear back from them as I had this problem and thought it was just me until I saw my sons pedals always in the right position!

Should have read this before buying Keo Max's - just been searching to see if everyone has problems clipping in with these as they're lethel in trafic. It seems it's a known problem to Look - spindles too tight due to dodgy seals. Has anyone come up with a solution?0

Well I bought some - Keo 2 Max - and have not had a single problem with the - maybe the problems are with early releases?http://veloviewer.com/SigImage.php?a=3370a&r=3&c=5&u=M&g=p&f=abcdefghij&z=a.png

1000 miles
On between 1000 & 2000 miles now - they're a little better but I still don't know how they're hanging without looking down0 -
I've just ordered the third bike, so will need a third set of pedals, so far I've have sprints and easy versions.
Hence interested in this post.
Previous versions are serving me well, with no issues and you can pick a new pair up for less than £30 with cleats.. surely that answers the question, I see no logic in sepending £80-£100 on a pair of pedals which work the same and are at most 10 grams lighter?0 -
Keo MAx 2 for me, about 300-400 miles in with no trouble so far. I find them quite hard to clip into but i thinks thats just me. They both hang what i would regard as properly, as in all the weight seems to find the lowest point. Got them set to the slackest setting which still feels a little tight. I came from spds from edinburgh bike co-ops own brand flat one side spd other and they were crap, these pedals seem very focused by comparison and not exactly what id describe at city start/stop pedal. Overall i quite like them but cant really say much about them relative to shimano spd sl as ive never tried them.

So do you notice any differences between the easy's and the sprints?0 -

Not particulalry. Both clip in and clip out the same and they seem to balance out right0 -
c.2000 miles and mine still stick in position. Not really a major issue though0
