Thoughts?
I don't know about anyone else, but I spent the entire episode looking at Karen Gillans legs.
Crikey! :shock: :shock:

For me, the jury is still out. Perhaps after a few more, he may grow on me. Presently, he's not in the same league as David or Chris, but that may change!0

I may have to admit to also being distracted by "the legs". Fantastic! She'd make a great rider she would... (insert suitable sexual connotation here).
Intrigued by Matt Smith. I think he'll bring his own unique spin. I was certainly laughing a lot with his humour!: "Why don't i remember breaking my face?" :

For those who don't know Karen Gillan:
And that doesn't even show the legs!"I hold it true, what'er befall;
I feel it, when I sorrow most;

Than never to have loved at all."

First one I've watched in decades and it was brilliant. She does cut a dash in a short skirt, doesn't she?0

I was watching to slag the new Doctor off - but he won me over. Very watchable.

God damnit Rolf... Thats just made me wanting to watch the next one NOW! (or even that one again...): "Why don't i remember breaking my face?" :

Matt Smith's definitely got potential. Tennant grew into the part very quickly and I think Smith'll do the same. The clips of the rest of the series look good, so it'll be interesting to see how it developes.
Wasn't impressed by the new opening sequence and theme tune - very bland and simplistic. The theme tune didn't have any of the components (that I'm at a loss to describe) that make it Dr Who. Not sure about the new Tardis either.A fanatic is one who can’t change his mind and won’t change the subject - Churchill0 -

Yepp, she was lovely. The programme did leave me wondering about one unsolved mystery of the universe...ginger hair and dark brown eyelashes... :?:
I hope we find the answer to that one in the current series.0 -

I used to be VERY ginger with Dark brown eyelashes.... Thankfully, my hair seems to be going darker the closer I get to 30..: "Why don't i remember breaking my face?" :

we only watched it because the kids wanted to, so glad we did.
Have asked the wife to get the police outfit0 -
I thought it was a good start - not just for the new Doctor but for Stephen Moffatt now at the overall helm. I assume it was Moffatt who wrote the episode as it seemed to reference some of his earlier stories - the coma patients from the Doctor Dances in series one, and the idea of the Doctor getting the timing of his return wrong occured in the Girl in the Fireplace.
Nice touch right at the end too - the pattern on the screen in the Tardis behind the Doctor as he was talking echoing the shape of the crack on the wall on Amelia's bedroom. Think we will be seeing that again as the series progresses.Chocolate makes your clothes shrink0 -

Just goes to show that sex sells anything :roll: , even a night in front of the telly with your wife and kids . . . . .
. . . . .when you could be down the pub celebrating real drama, such as Arsenal's 95th minute winner and the simultaneous humiliation of Moan Utd and Tottingham. (Cue Stewie and some Northern blokes with strong opinions )0 -
Matt Smith looked good, if a little old fashioned and safe kind of Doctor.
Er, as as for Karen Gillan....Big eyes, Red hair, long legs, great smile....Policewomans uniform....Oohhhhh My.....I'm in lurveCAAD9

+1
I think that crack could be the new Bad Wolf theme.
Glad he didn't overplay the regeneration bit, that was a PITA when Tennant started & Karren Gillan is well worth a watch.0 -
i thought it was brilliant, Echo's of the past and tastes of the future, just what it needed, nice touch as well as he morphed from "raggedy man" into the Doctor and we had the hologram of the previous incarnations.
Karen Gillan is sensational and those legs go on for ever!!0 -
its like watching the dreams of a schizophrenic being acted out by 'phet heads

what have I seen her in before ? she was in a comedy shos in a spoof news reader sketch thing as part of a comedy show - something like mitchell and web, definitely 'noted' her before
any ideas ?0 -
I was watching it with my 6 year old daughter & she said "why is the Dr going to take the big girl with him?"
Made me realise it is a bit strange that he turns up in the middle of the night, makes sure she is alone & 'fearless' and it is only a malfunctioning TARDIS that prevents him from whisking her away.0 -
