I have an old Trek and need to change the stem and bars. Its currently a quill stem, but I found this converter and wondered what people think?

It gives me more options for stems and hence bars but is it a good solution? Looking for a low cost simple solution for an old hack bike.

Thanks

I have an ITM (alluminium) one, it is excellent, been using it for 5 years, no problem.
  • +1 no problem with the one I have fitted to one of my bikes. Although I do like the look of a quill stem more.

Yes - I found it a great solution too, and opens up the full range of non-quill stems.
