Upgrading Wheels

I am lookig for advise and opinions on upgrading my wheels!

The bike is currently running Mavic Ksyrium's that came on it and I would like to lighten the load, get a smoother faster ride etc.

Any ideas / opinions / information appreciated

    For me, I went hand built over factory, I wanted to buy wheels I knew would be perfect for me, and, wheels that were repairable should I need (fingers crossed will never need!). The rims I went for were cadence rims from IRD, very light, not a bad price either. As for hubs I guess its down to budget, the novatec hubs seem light and cheap, I have no idea on longevity (I'm sure someone here can comment), I went for Royce in the end, not the lightest but bomb-proof. Chose sapim cx-ray spokes. I can recommend speaking with steve in the wheelroom for advice and a good build.
