Which Brake Pads?

I need to replace my brake pads on my Trek and I am wondering wether you guys have any particular favourites, the probably stock ones I have now aren't bad, just not that good either, also, would V brake pads fit on a road caliper?

There are two favourites over here.

Koolstops and Swisstops. I have used both and Swisstops are better but a bit more expensive. They are both pretty good.

I personally prefer the Koolstops Salmon/Black as they last a bit longer than the standard Salmon ones
