Stupid question, but does anyone know roughly when the mornings will start getting lighter earlier?!

Cheers everyone :)

They have been getting lighter since the winter solstice.

The change from GMT to BST causes a wee bit of a hiccup though.

What time are you getting up in the morning?

Yeah, i had noticed that the mornings had started to get lighter until the change of clocks recently.

I get up at around 6am at the mo but i want to get up and out for 5am 3-4 times a week for around 1hr-1 and a half hours on the bike before work, when the mornings lighten up and the rain (hopefully) stops! :D

It will get lighter earlier now every day until around the 21st of June which is the longest day of the year (most hours of daylight). I think it gets lighter about 5 minutes earlier every day.

I find this website useful - choose your nearest location and bookmark it. It's nice on those dark winter days to see the forecast for +3 months as x hours longer!
Not forgetting that the weather can make a huge difference - we've had some shocking weather this week round here, and some clear frosty mornings - effective dawn, roughly defined as "when I'd go out without lights", has varied by nearly an hour from day to day.

    Thanks for that link!

It is great to see the number of hour of daylight increase.

Although the +6 months figure gives me the willies! Try not to think about it Adam!
