Hi

I am a Lee Quarry virgin and was looking at going there tomorrow for the first time.

Anyone know what the conditions are like following the recent deluges?

Does it drain well in general?

My alternative is Ambleside and the low-lying fells around there that I know stand up well to rain and hail bullets...

Thanks

Might be a bit of slushy snow on the ground, generally it drains fairly well.
It's easier to ask for forgiveness than for permission.

    I've bought a new bike....ouch - result
    Can I buy a new bike?...No - no result

    Thanks SJ

Hoping for weather like today - was cold but sunny in Merseyside
  • been up today. Sunny but cool! No snow or big puddles to worry about, except in the quarry base and at the very bottom of the last red downhill. Pump track is all dry and was fun! You will get mucky but that's half the fun. There was a bunch of travellers making residence at the bottom of the track, I spotted a couple of motor crossers by their caravans too, hope they don't go riding the trails. When I left, plod was there having a word!

Just got back - very impressed indeed

Love the way you can do half the red, then have a go at the 3 downhills and then carry on the second half of the red route

May well go back again tomorrow or Sunday

Only an hour away so it has now become my local trail centre!

Can't see myself ever going to Llandegla again...
