Organising a Ride

Anyone had any experience of this?

I want to create a charity ride in Ireland. Coast to Coast. Belfast to Ballyshannon, (111 miles or so) in late July over a long weekend.

First of all, would anyone fancy it?! And how would I go about staging it? I volunteer for Sustrans so there's one thing in my favour so far anyway

I would get a plan together. Route, what logistics would be required then approach your chosen charity. Unless it's a very small organisation they will have some sort of events team to steer you through the insurance and officialdom minefield. Four months might be a little tight.
