which should i go for... Giant Trance X3 or Giant Reign 2

Can someone give me a little advice pls...
I wanted to get a bike that I could ride on trails mainly but could also take to places like ChickSands and Aston Hill's for some free riding. I also wanted something that I also could take to Wales etc.
I've got these two bikes in mind (below) ... can some one suggest which would be the best to go for ? Thanks in advance !

I'd go for the reign 2, unless your really light I doubt you'd get away with freeride on the other one for very long. Perhaps abit heavy compared to the scott genius 40 (12.7kg) with the same travel, but if you want 150mm of fox suspension its good value!!
Other alternatives would be 2009 orange 5 s, commencal meta 5.5, trek remedy?0
