Is the rotor straight?
Is it occaional rubbing or constantly?
Might need to use shims if its rubbing constantly (whole time the wheel spins)0 -
hi nick
no not been out yet ,could that be the answer ,just thought with the avid designe that the caliper will self allign ,so that it wouldnt rub

hi peter
tried useing shims in pads then pumped brakes held lever tight ,then tightned caliper bolts ,undone the lever ,took shims out ,still rubbing ,
dont know if this makes a differance im useing superstar disk pads not avid ?0 -
I mean use shims on the mount/rotor. Between where they touch the forks/hub.
Leave them in there as well, don't take them out. Putting them behind the pads will only hae the effect of pushing the pistons further out0 -
Mine did that that, so i took them to the lbs- they used this little tool to straighten the disc. you may think the disc is fine, as i did- it looked straight, and i had constant rubbing, but it was the disk that was the problem it turned out :?0

yes replace pads and then use. there was no need to do anything else. If things were fine before."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

why?
that will not help anything.
do the rotors move when you pull the levers?"Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."
