My girlfriend is having problems with her computer. Logging onto her Hotmail account every time she puts in her email address and her password and hits the log on button she gets a certificate error the "security certificate has expired on this webpage". Using her logon details I can access her account from my computer (its only the one she uses for business no interesting stuff to read unfortunately) but every time she tries on hers she is blocked. Even trying the hotmail account I use for joining forums doesnt work on her computer.

She has run all the security twice, cleaned out the browser history, run a registry cleaner and CCcleaner but no joy. Anyone got any ideas of what to try next.

Try a couple of different malware tools, just to be sure. If you haven't already, run a virus check with an up to date engine.

    Tried using a different browser?

and make sure the time and date (D/M/Y) are set correctly (it's the most common thing to fuck with certificates) and make sure it's up to date at windows update.

just set the clock in the sys tray (bottom right) up. Usually double click it to open it and follow through the settings to set things correctly. Like I said, make sure day/month/year/time are right.
