First Wales Mountain Biking Experience

After reading guide to Wales mountai biking centres in MBUK am thinking of heading over there this Easter weekend, can anyone reocmmend a good first time place to visit, looking for some decent riding with somewhere nice to stay close by and preferably some decent restaurants locally. Looking for singletrack type riding onthing too major like hardcore downhill and preferably bike rental so the mrs can rent as only room for my bike plus suitscases in the car. Thanks!

    Hi mate and croeso y Cymru!!! (Welcome to Wales). Afan Argoed and Glyncorrwg (bike hire at both) are the most popular and close to the M4 near Port Talbot. Better riding to be had a Brechfa and Abergorlech in my opinion though.

    Had a quick google and Glyncorrwg looks excellent! Can you recommend a hotel there by any chance?!

    the afan lodge hotel is supposed to be OK, not stayed there myself cos i live not too far away. check it out though :D :
