i want to upgrade my old deore wheelset to something newer and ligher for xc
are Mavic Crossride any good?and if not what else want to keep under say £180 i just cant afford hope 2 hubs as much as i want them!

XM719s on XT hubs with DB spokes £180 Merlin or 717s if weight is important.0

Shimano MT65. I seem to be the only one to use them but they are simply incredible value for money. The strength/weight/stifness is brilliant for the money. Merlin sell them for £185 I think.0

Just ordered a set of XT hubs on Mavix XC717 rims wheels myself. They are currently down from £179.95 to just £149.95!! That's fantastic. I was originally going to get the same rim with the Hope Pro II hubs but in the sale these are £239.95 (+ another £20 if you want black spokes, which I did).0 -
