Ok, so firstly, hello everyone! I've been away a month (or so...), so whats been happening around here? Anything exciting (probably not... )??

So shortly after I got the Warrior, I replaced all the belts and cams at the front of the engine (which wasn't cheap :? ). All was fine, until about 500miles later. I think the fuel injection cam slipped a tooth on the timing belt, resulting in HORRENDOUS knocking when cold. And the vibration quickly killed off one / multiple crank bearings (I think), so it constantly threw the belts off. Annoying as hell. So what did I do...?

Well, the garage claimed it wasn't their fault, so I swapped the car at a large car dealership.

And what did I get...?

Have a guess, go on...

Yup, a BMW 330d

:lol::lol::lol:

So, what do you forumites think? I know Surf_Matt will agree, but I think it's a good car - I'm now instantly identifiable as a w@nker, LOL!

I must not be a 'proper' BMW owner, as I don't actually know...

All I know is that, while it IS quick, it's no-where near fast enough to keep up with my bike, or any bike, for that matter....

Although, it is comfortable, frugal-ISH (38ish MPG on a run 8) ) quick, and quiet inside. Plus, I got loadsa space too.

How you getting on with your new motor Benj...?

Love the new Pug... its get better fuel economy, cheaper tax, cheaper insurance, much more comfortable, 2 year warranty, easier to clean (smaller), quieter, more fun and its quicker on country lanes than the big old Coupe!!

    Yea is pretty nice

And its shiny! (click for bigger, don't wanna steal you're thread :P)

Surf Matt won`t be able to tell you how many torques you`ve got, he`ll just be able to tell you how many more his 335d has got than your 330d, and how much quicker to 60 it is  ..............

I aren't gonna bite if you rip me / my car. I know I'm a tosser, lol.

Seriously though, it's a cracking car - everything that I want / need. Although the one thing that does quite annoy me, is the crap iPod interface on the OEM stereo.

Otherwise, it's ace! Everyone should get one...  :?

    How much £ though?

I'll be getting a new (to me) car after my 'Gary Glitter' tour of Asia. Still think a Focus is the best bet. I'll be sure not to buy an L200 from a dealer though

Straight swap for the L200, and £200. Not too bad I thinks!

Nah, got new plates on it already 8)

Does that mean those of us who are motor-vehicle-ly enlightened (I say it like it's going to be alot of folks, but I really mean Surf_Matt and myself  ) get to form some kind of cliquey group where we can sneer at others who drive 'peasant-mobiles' (anything that ISN'T a BMW with a 3+litre engine :lol::lol: ) and have lot's of seriously NOT funny in-jokes....?

Have to say though, as Matt says, the car undeniably good (especially at highlighting the fact the owner is a complete tool   )
