Mavic rim wear indicators?

My Mavic Elite rims look well worn to me, the brake surface area quite scored and 'dished'. They are expensive wheels and I have no great desire to bin them, but I want to err on the side of caution.

So, do Mavic have wear indicators in their rims, and if so what do they look like?

There is a small label 180° across from the valve hole, with a symbol (5 little squares alternate white/black/white/black/white) which I'm guessing might be a clue, but if so I've no idea how to read it.

Anyone?

Ta!

I think they probably have an area where the rim is milled thinner (from the inside) so a hole will appear when they are past their minimum safe thickness. Check by taking off the tyre and seeing if the rim is indeed thinner at that point.

it's a hard life if you don't weaken.
