Hi guy's,
I was all set on the Trek 6700 until i clapped eyes on the Cube LTD Race.
I really like the look of the bike and the list of kit is impressive.
Which bike would you choose if it was your choice.
70% road and 30% xc.
If i was to go for the Cube, what colour?
Thanks.

Can you try them?
The Cube certainly has the better spec.0 -
Neither, giant xtc alliance depending on your budget but i'm guessing around the £1000-£1200 mark max?

have a friend with the 2008 version and a friend/old physics teacher just got the 2009 model on a solid recommendation, good specs, 2009 models also quite cheap and very light for the price you're paying which i'm sure you'd appreciate on the road0 -

Oh but if its between the cube and trek then the cube on paper0

if you're doing lots of road... why not a light rigid 29er?

Guy's,
Thanks for all your advice, the giants do look nice, having sat on one the reach is a little too far for me, so i feel i'm leaning forward on my wrists.
I think i'll probably go for the Cube.
What other gear do i need to get going, I was looking to get some SPD's and shoes, helmet, and any other starter kit you think is required?
Thanks.0 -

You'll need a shock pump if the bike doesn't come with one, and all the usual stuff to maintain the bike0

+ 1. Never leave without it with at least 2 tubes a mini pump and my multi tool and lube
