Hi-heading to the area in August and wondered if anyone had recommendations for road bike hire?

THis shop in the centre of Bourg d'Oisans hires road bikes - they were Scott ones last year not sure what model tho. Very popular shop - always busy.

Not sure about road bikes at the top of Alpe d'Huez itself - they tended to be mtb ones up there.

Scott are quite popular in France and there's also a Scott dealer where you can hire at the foot of the Cole Du Joux Plane in the northern Alps (Samoens).

On top there are numerous shops, up by the ski lifts as i remember with road bikes for hire. Compact with 34/28. I took my own shoes and pedals as the hire bikes had clips and straps.

Cycles Et Sports is the place. They've got lots of decent hire bikes, and the guys are real helpful.
We called a few times to blow up tyres (easier to use their machine !), and they were very welcoming. :D

I am planning a trip in July - what do you reckon are my chances of rocking up without having reserved previously? worth the risk?
