What was Riis doing at the Worlds?

Oh, I don't know. Worlds in Denmark, he's Danish, a couple of his riders taking part....

Either that or he's punishing himself by watching wooden circle stuff.

Pippo looking very strong. Still surprised he never rides out the saddle.

It's always best to stay seated when climbing on the cobbles if you can, as it keeps the back wheel steady and stops it bouncing around.

Dinnae worry Tush. I also wondered why he was there. But that's because I'm allergic to track "cycling"

Riis is also supposed to be in pretty advanced negotiations with a new sponsor and they're Danish.

Sure. He hardly rides out of the saddle on any other terrain either.

Perhaps he's afraid we'll see the blotches on the back of his knees where he hasn't applied the St. Tropez "gentlemans bronzing mousse" properly?

You're unlikely to see Boonen doing much sitting down when attacking the hellingen, and he's by far and away the best rider in the peleton on hellingen. Not even Canc can match him on those.

Yesterday, when I opened the live stream link, the first thing I saw was the Footon-Servetto kit. That was shocking.

Did you notice that Cancellara waited until Boonen was behind Flecha to make his move at the end

Certainly did and with the roundabout and the street furniture he got his gap that they couldn't close. Brilliant
