Strange that he waited until the race broke up 2kms from the finish before he told Vino to ease up surely if he had hayfever as he claims he would not have had Vino near the front setting the pace. No Vino was setting the pace for one reason to set up a Bertie attack and he didnt have the form simple as that.
So you calling Contador a liar Moray? You're not taking his word as being true??
Well I'm fine with that. As long as you don't get your knickers in a knot when a certain Texan is cross examined on everything he says in this forum.
You wouldn't want to appear as a hypocrite would you?
I think he is using hayfever as an excuse to hide a bad day all cyclists have them he is no different so in essence i think he is being economical with the truth. As for Lance he often speak sh ite i have no problem with that, i dont think the word hypocrite is something that could be directed at me.Gasping - but somehow still alive !0 -

I like GC riders that don't go into every race apart from their one objective saying they are not going to try and win, they are in training, they are out of form, I lost 5-10 mins but I am where I want to be, or some other stupid defensive comment.
Real champions race not ride all year round.
Mmmm So when AC entered the 2008 Giro saying he was out of form and was not going for GC (even though he did eventually) you did not like him then ? Almost every top GT rider i have ever seen has went into several races at some point trying to find form not going for overall its all part of the cycling season, to think that GT riders race full on all season is a nonsense .Gasping - but somehow still alive !0 -

Don't see any hiding here,
More than topping Armstrong, Contador was once again pleased with how his Astana team is rallying around him and giving him the support he’ll need come July.
“(Seventeen) seconds are enough, but I am not giving it too much importance, either,” he said. “The team did a great job. If I had had a good day (Saturday), the tactics would have been perfect. I am very happy with my teammates. Also, we keep perfecting the time trial, we are improving little by little. Overall, the legs and the preparation are going perfect.”
Contador will not be defending his title at the Vuelta al País Vasco next month and instead is expected to race the Vuelta a Castilla y León.

Its the reasons for his relative bad day that are the issue not the fact he had one.Gasping - but somehow still alive !0
