Both £1699. Both ultegra sl
Cervelo has Mavic Aksium 2010 wheels
the scott has Mavic Kysirium elite 09 wheels
I want this purely to race fast..which one?
I was also looking at the boardman pro carbon and planet x sl pro sram red.
Budget upto £1700

Hi Warrior
I'm looking at similar spec bikes, but I'm no speed king - however, someone pointed out to me that the Addict at Drakes in Leeds - presume you're looking there - has an integrated seatpost. I don't really understand why that's a problem - do you know what the upside/downside of that is?
Where is the Cervelo on offer?
Thanks

Yeah it was drakes and im not sure i fit a 56 but evans are doing a price match on anything at the moment and they have it in 58.
Im really liking the cervelo at the moment, aluminium isnt a problem either

I dont know the problem with the intergrated seat post, i suppose they are expensive, limited height and only on type of post will fit but if the bike's the correct size it shouldnt be an issue...Just make sure you test ride if your getting an intergrated post..
I had a madone iwth one, it was supposed to fit me and even with the lonest post it was a 1/4 to short for my legs..0 -
Integrated seatposts make your bike harder to sell on...0

I don't think you'd have may problems selling an S1 frame IMO - they have a stonking reputation.
Incidentally, I took a look at the 2010 CAAD9 today and have to say it's a looker in white. I really wasn't expecting too much from it with Tiagra but it was a lot lighter than I'd imagined so, if you can, try to get a test ride on one.0 -
Yes the caad9 does look good,
Not sure its as aero as the cervelo but they are cheaper and lighter...
Ill take a look0 -
No, not as areo for sure. In fact, I'd say the S1 is easily the better looking bike.
It's a nice dilema to have. Test ride them all if you can though.0
