New Event the Arran Challenge

All,

Just wanted to invite interested parties to participate in the Arran Challenge which will take place on June 20th. It's in aid of a charity registered in Scotland which I am involved in.

Details are on http://www.youthschool.org/events.html and it would be great to see some seasoned cyclists there to set the pace !
I myself will be doing the event where one cycles the 90km circuit around the island.. the furthest I have ever cycled. Any tips also appreciated !

    20th June is the same day as the Trossachs Ton which is a shame as the ride round the island looks like a lot of fun.

    Hmm. I've been looking for a good excuse to get over to Arran and I might just have found one!

    Pity it's a sponsored event and not sportive.
    I just cannot bring myself to ask people to "sponsor" me to do something that I do for fun. It would make more sense to ask people to give me money for NOT riding my bike, at least i would be sacrificing something that way. Either way it just seems too much like begging.

    I think this would make more money if you just made it a sportive and charged £30 for doing it.
