Hi,

I have the option of buying either a 2004 Ridley Compact with Full 2004 Shimano 105 groupset or a Dolan (built up to be a Cyclocross) with full 2010 SRAM Rival.

The bike would be used as a winter training ride bike and everyday commuter (12 and half miles each way - ROAD, about 11 and a half if using canal)

The Ridley is £100 cheaper, but I am concerned about the fact it is 2004 components ...

Both bikes are brand new.

I have a Cube bike with full 105 and have no complaints. I have never used SRAM, but have looked around and seen that this compares with Ultegra, so probably better than 105.

Any advice anyone can offer would be great.

Thanks in advance.
