Mavic Race pedals

I'm looking at buying new pedals for my new bike. I've been on speedplay pedals for the last 2 years but I suspect the small pedal surface and the weird cleats shape cause some feet numbness after 50 miles ride. Anyways, I was looking to try changing the pedals first to see if it helps before changing my shoes.
So I was looking at buying either Look Keo 2 Max or the Mavic Race pedals (pretty much a copy of the Look pedals), which are a little cheaper. Have you guys tried the Mavic pedals ? Any comments on them ? Should I stick with the tried and tested Look ?

Have a look at the new Time I-clic pedals, got them a few days ago and have been a revelation so far. Much better than my old SPD-SLs when clicking in.x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x
