Chain tool?

I have 10 speed centaur on my bike, and am looking to take the chain off. Somehow using my chain tool on my other bike (shim sora) I broke it. (chain tool from my budget PBK tool kit|)
I hear that Campag say you should use one of their tools and other say not?
Can anyone recommend a decent chain tool at a fair price? Possibly one I can't break? And on a technical point, once the pin is out do I need a new one or can it be reused? Again something am not sure on.
cheers

Good question - I broke my chain tool from a cheap tool kit this evening too!! Recommendations for a sturdier tool would be very welcome!0

Not too sure on the tool front, I have the 10 speed Campag version I picked up cheap off ebay.
Regarding the pin though, if you are using the campag system you will need a new replaceent pin. These are about twice the length of the standard pin, as you insert it then break a bit off once installed.
Campag do indeed say you need their tool, but I have installed 10 and 11 speed chains using a standard chain tool and it works absolutely perfectly.0 -
I have the Park CT5 chain tool, very sturdy and small enough to fit in a saddle bag (and I have needed it..). About £15.0

This one from CRC is brilliant value. Easy to use, adjustable end stop, spare pin, strong as a strong thing.

I've just been through the same thing myself, didn't know which way to go.
I did buy a KMC missing link for Campag, and could have changed my Record chain using a Park CT-4.2 or similar but in the end I opted for the actual campag 10 speed tool and used campag's own link.
My last chain lasted so long I didn't want to tempt fate by shortcutting anything, but I'm sure you don't have to use the official tool.
Not sure if this is true but I think you can use the KMC missing link or Sram powerlink more than one time but with campag's you can't, not sure like I say ....0
