Here's an on going project I've had for a while, it's abit of a mess of parts but it's great fun to play on at the local jumps/skate park & on punishing trails
Got a short 50mm stem on the way as the current one thats fitted is far too long! But
Not sure what to upgrade next... crankset to 2speed or single speed with bash? Rear wheel? Brakes?
Suggestions & thoughts please

Have you tried a shorter stem? With that sort of bike i think something more along the lines of 60/70mm would suit the handling better (unless you need it to get decent reach?)"Melancholy is incompatible with bicycling." ~James E. Starrs0

I tried a short 50mm stem a while ago from a friends bike & it did feel better, I'm a small guy (5ft6) & have ok reach, but not tried something inbetween like you say yet.
Although on my previous bike that was similar except it was alot higher spec (£1800 worth) I did run a 75mm/25deg rise stem & it felt pretty good before it was stolen
I'm still dabbling to find the perfect setup for me & havnt been spending heaps on parts untill I've found what feels best for me.When in doubt go flat out! My steeds below:

Blinding!
