Bike wall storage racks safe for rims?

Are those bike wall storage racks that hook the front rim safe to use on light weight rims? Thinking of something like this. My bike has the DT Swiss 445D rimes. I'd put more padding on the hook.

What do you mean by safe? Scratches or something more serious?
You only need two tools: WD40 and Duck Tape.
If it doesn't move and should, use the WD40.
If it shouldn't move and does, use the tape.
  • Pretty sure a wheel can hold a bikes weight + extra.

    ever pulled a wheelie?

I was concerned that it's applying a point load to the rim in a way it wasn't really designed to take a load. But thinking about it now, it was a bit of a dumb question as the spokes will prevent any deformation of the hoop.
