Kysirum Equipe's - how much better than Aksiums?

ok, so I'm sold on the Cannondale Six. Can I stretch to the Ultegra model? I think the clincher is the wheelset really. The Equipe's on the Ultegra model don't seem much more expensive that the Aksiums. Any experiences of having used both?

The more expensive (yet not as nice looking one):

The cheaper (but better colours) one:

and 105 as opposed to Ultegra? slight weight diff? Noticeably smoother shifting?

I went straight from 2001 Sora to 6600 Ultegra so don't know about the Shimano groups!

The Elites were better, they were smoother and stiffer.

Just had a look. I would go for the cheaper one, sell the 105 and get Sram Force...

Force would look amazing on that!

hmmm - maybe. I think i'd be out of pocket a bit though and it might start to make the Ultegra model more attractive (plus I'm used to Shimano)

Get the good looking one then!

Just keep the kit and replace when you feel like it.

The Aksiums and 105 I'm pretty sure will be adequate.

you're right. It looks much better and I need to get fitter anyway before I fret about these things. Only it might be a loooong while before I can justify spending anything on a bike again, so the best package for my bucks is a concern. Looking at Felt F3 and Scott CR1 Pro too (i get 25% off)
