Marin Roughride advice

I'm getting roped in to riding in this in June but don't know whether I'm going to regret it!
My concerns are mainly around my fitness and ability although I feel better about that after doing both loops at Penmachno on the weekend in strong wind and rain, and my bike, GT I-Drive ID5
Would I be biting off more than I could chew trying to do such a long event on what many would describe as a 'chunky full sus? Don't get me wrong, I love the bike and it was fantastic at Penmachno but obviously pretty different type of terrain on the Roughride. Would a change of tyres from the fitted Ignitors help much? If so any suggestions that would work with the I'Drive would be much appreciated.
