Spotted this good thread on Bikeforums and theres some great really ones...Lhasa Katmandu...Karakoum Highway..Colombia..keep coming up...What do you recommend? to the list (based on what Ive done)I would add Japan Cherry blossom season and the Morrocco Atlas mountains.+ New york city by bike

    Carreterra Austral in Southern Chile. Glaciers, waterfalls, lakes, mountains and very few people. Heaven on a bike.

    I did that route in Laos, but much preferred one in the north - called Highway 1 - which runs from Vietnam's border and heads west. I did it back in 2005 and the road was a wreck then: Maybe it's been sorted now? Anyway, that sort of made it more of a challenge and the border had only just opened, too, so the locals hadn't seen to many white guys on bikes.

    Yes, that Manali - Leh route is another gem.

    I should add Corsica to that list.
