Folks,
What road bikes are available with disc brakes ? The only one I can find is the Marin Toscana. Any others ?
Thanks

There are a few frames that will take them.
BUT WHY?0 -
Personal taste. Which frames were you thinking of ?BMC Pro Machine

Cos dual pivots wear out your wheels and don't stop you anywhere near as quickly?- - - - - - - - - -

Rim wear is a decent reason i suppose, you're not going to stop any quicker due to grip limitations, bit more control possibly.
Cotic roadrat springs to mind, just about any 29er mtb frame, some 26" mtb frames will fit a 700c wheel with 23mm tyres.
There are a lot of touring frames that take discs, the kona sutra for example.0 -
I recently rode a mates Boardman hybrid, with discs and it was very impressive. So much better braking. I'm definitely going to move in that direction for the commuter, when a decent range of forks/wheels becomes available.
Orbea do a disc roadie I think.Facts are meaningless, you can use facts to prove anything that's remotely true! - Homer0 -
There are some CX bikes with discs, even though it's against the rules, and I think it's cheating! (e.g. Focus)
Put road tyres on and you're away...

Orbea Diem Drop is a pretty good option.
Have a look here:

+1.
Slinky.
NB If you're a larger gentleman (14 1/2 stone in my case) road bike brakes are not grip limited...- - - - - - - - - -

I've found Ultegra brakes with Swisstop pads are more than powerful enough on the road, even in the wet. I would never envisage needing discs on a road bike, I just dont have the blind corners and 50% downhills that I find offroad.0

It's not against the rules. The UCI, in their infinite wisdom, have chosen to ban them from UCI ranked races but they'll be allowed in your local cyclocross league. Given how useless cantis are in the mud then it makes a lot of sense to run discs and you'd expect the UCI to halt progress.0 -
Hi
I put a Kinesis DC19 front disc fork on my Ti cyclo-cross bike - the only disc fork I could find with mudguard eyes. It cost around £120.
Plenty of clearance, and smooth braking whatever the weather (but there is a weight penalty).
