Kegworth, Sutton Bonington, East / West Leake Trails / Rides

Hello Everyone,

Well now that my Cyclescheme voucher has finally arrived am going to be picking up the new bike on Satursday super exciting.

So do any members live / or have experience of riding in the above areas? Can recomend any routes/trails to me, or even fancy meeting up for a ride?

Or can anyone recomend anything within range, such as around Nottingham / Loughborough?

There's a longish 80% off-road ride from Kegworth - down the lanes to Sawley Marine, all the way along the river off-road to Clifton Bridge, over and down the other side then along all off-road to Thrumpton, then back through the lanes. Should be about 26 miles, all tame stuff though.

Sleepycol

The Gypsum trail around Gotham is ok. not very long but you can go round the track into Ruddington or turn down into either East or West Leake. From there you could work your way up to Kegworth locks and follow the Soar from there to Sutton Bonnington or Loughborough, whichever you choose.
