HI

I was hit by a car last week which has destroyed my beloved (1 week old) Wilier Izoard. Now this frame was abeauty, rode really smoothly, by far the best ive had.

Now when the ins pays up what should i get? do i get a new Izoard or something else???

Get a new Izoard! Surely you bought the frame you wanted in the first place? Unless you're going to upgrade, seems an easy choice. Lovely frame too.

I unsure on Cervelo??? not sure why!

Have relooked at Kuota. The only thing that put me of the kebel is its firm ride. have thought abouot the kredo or even the Kom but they are abit more dosh.

As for the Izoard its a great ride and i really love it as its so smooth and responsive but ive had one albeit for a week. lol

Have also thought about a slighty cheaper bike and then get a cheapish 2nd bike for winter n commuting!

As you know I chose \ ride a kuota - over the izoard - mainly due to cost and I thought my purposes I wouldn't notice the difference. Pretty sure I made the right choice for me.

But you seemed to love the izoard - so I would go another. Whats your insrance saying ?

I think you made a great choice first time around - stick to the Italian Stallion!!

    Stick to what you got!
  • Chatting in De Ver cycles recently, they were saying the new Basso Astra frameset is better than the Izoard in their opinion. They sell both so had no reason to promote one over the other. Both beautiful Italian jobs.
