Got down to Haldon for the first time yesterday afternoon, We managed to escape the showers and hit the Ridge ride
The trail was pretty well drained, only a few puddles, with all this rain thats pretty good going, We arrived at 4pm just as the hoards were leaving, so apart from overtaking a few riders we had the place to ourselves
The first 2 sections of the trails are good fun, the last part across the road was very dull. managed to get around in just over 30 mins i think, which was suprising, the second time round we just skipped the first and third sections and just peddled along the road to the second section which is easiest the best part of the whole trail.
Would be keen to know where the jump is that features on the Haldon forest website
Would i go back again....poss, if i was in the area and nothing else doing, Im sure there is alot of esoterical riding. which would be more interesting. I also think if you went on a a hardtail it would livinn things up a bit, the full suss just flatened out any difficulties.0
